Editorial: Identity and the Shape of Pentecostal Theology
Abstract
This editorial essay examines alternative conceptions of Pentecostal identity, noting that identifying definitions are contested and ideologically significant. It takes pentecostalism to reference a global and culturally diverse Christian movement concerned primarily with the experience of the Spirit. The article then reflects upon the ways in which this pneumatological identity might impact Pentecostal theology, engaging in detail with Amos Yong's pneumatological imagination.
