The Good News of Deuteronomy for All Creation: A Pentecost/al Rehearing
Abstract
Deuteronomy provides prophetic witness to, for, and against the community of God’s people and creation as means of living in light of the life of God. This is described as good news for all creation through the prophetic framing of a Pentecost/al rehearing of Deuteronomy 30:19-20. This rehearing is attuned to hearing what was spoken toward what must be heard and reheard by each succeeding community. This prophetic rehearing is the hearing of creation and communities in prophetic witness to, against, but ultimately for the goodness of the life of God in the reign of God.
